Paola & Christian had a truly incredible elopement at one of my favorite places – Mackinac Island!
Mackinac Island is a very unique place, located on Lake Huron, where there are no motor vehicles allowed. You get around by walking, biking, or horse-drawn carriage. Visiting Mackinac Island is truly like taking a step back in time!
Christian’s grandmother owns a home on the island, and they got married on the same deck that Christian proposed to Paola on. They’ve been visiting Mackinac for years, and getting married there was so special for them!
They got ready with Christian’s mom, grandmother, and aunt (who officiated their wedding). Their elopement day included a ceremony on the dock, champagne, cake, and jumping into Lake Huron! Paola & Christian were so much fun to spend the day with – they spent the whole time laughing and having a great time together.
Jake and I got married on the island five years ago, and it’s such a special place. We absolutely love visiting Mackinac, and being able to capture an elopement as amazing as the one these two had was incredible.
Congratulations Paola & Christian! ♥️

Paola & Christian had such a fun elopement day, and I’m so happy that they chose us to capture this day for them!
Here’s what Paola & Christian had to say about working with us for their elopement:
“Reflecting on our elopement last summer on Mackinac Island, Michigan, I remember the urgency and excitement that surrounded our decision. Amidst the rush, we stumbled upon you on Google, and it turned out to be JUST what we needed.
Booking a photographer mere weeks before the big day seemed like a daunting task, but finding you felt like a stroke of luck. Your Michigan roots and the captivating style in your portfolio spoke to us instantly. Our phone consultation reassured us, and your unmatched flexibility became evident as you navigated the challenges of our last-minute decisions.
From squeezing us into your schedule to traveling to the UP, and even accommodating a reschedule when we left our wedding attire in Dallas, your dedication was unwavering. What sets you apart goes beyond professionalism – it’s the way you effortlessly made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Both you and Jake became more than photographers; you were like friends, guiding us through the day with ease.
The emotion and significance you captured in our photos are truly extraordinary. Looking at them, I find it hard not to get emotional; in fact, I’m tearing up writing this review. Your talent transcends the ordinary, and the memories you’ve preserved are priceless.
In a world where true artistry is often undervalued, you and Jake stand out. Your work speaks volumes, and you deserve every bit of recognition. If anyone is contemplating eloping in Michigan, Mackinac Island, or anywhere in the US, I wholeheartedly recommend you. Brittany and Jake, our gratitude knows no bounds. These photos will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.”
