The day began in Marquette at the historic Landmark Inn, where Priya & AJ got ready separately and then shared a quiet, emotional first look in the Sky Room. Morning light started coming in through the windows as they laughed together and settled into the excitement of the day ahead.
There was something so peaceful about starting slow, taking their time, and really soaking in the moment before heading out to the shoreline.
Sunrise Vows on Lake Superior
One of the reasons couples choose a Michigan elopement is the ability to find wild, secluded places that still feel accessible — and the cove Priya & AJ chose for their ceremony was truly breathtaking.
As the sun rose over Lake Superior, the waves crashed against the rocks behind them, creating the perfect natural soundtrack for their vows. They exchanged vows and rings with soft, morning light stretching across the water. Their only guest was Priya’s sister. It was simple, emotional, and so perfectly them.
Hiking, Laughter, and Hidden-Gem Shorelines
After their ceremony, they spent the morning exploring the rocky shoreline — climbing boulders, wandering through forest paths, and stopping to take in the views together.
One of the sweetest things about Priya & AJ is how they made space for joy all day long. They laughed, held hands as they hiked, and found beauty in every little moment.
Cake, Champagne, and a Cozy Picnic
Midday, they set up a small, cozy picnic by the lake. They celebrated quietly with cake and champagne at one of the Upper Peninsula’s most beautiful beaches — the kind of moment you just wish you could freeze in time.
Priya & AJ kicked off their shoes and ran barefoot through the water, letting the waves chase them as they played and danced. It was pure magic — joyful, free, and full of that soft, glowing UP light that makes a Michigan elopement so unforgettable.
