Rachel and Nick had a true elopement and planned it all in less than two weeks!
Rachel really wanted tall pine trees for a moody look, so I found this beautiful spot at a Kalamazoo nature preserve. It was secluded, quiet, and such a perfect spot. Rachel and Nick both wore all black, which was incredibly gorgeous and unique. We hung white tulle fabric on some branches for their ceremony spot and lit a few candles.
These two have been together for 10 years and decided to get married on their 10th anniversary. They included two of their adorable dogs, Bull and Minnie, for their day. And since Bull and Minnie weren’t allowed to sign as witnesses (come on, Michigan, make this a thing), we asked two strangers on the trail to sign their marriage license (and they were so excited to do so!)
It was an absolutely beautiful morning in the woods, and I’m so happy that Rachel and Nick chose me to capture this day for them! Congratulations to you both!
